July 10 - Goodbye Treynor, Hello Dow City

Roosters what do they have against me! This morning chicken chores included me getting pecked by the rooster as I was opening the coupe door for them to go outside! Mr Rooster and I had a few words! Dang it! Hurt for about 20 minutes! Next challenge in morning chores was one of the Kune pigs, Pop Belly, couldn’t get up off the ground! And I wasn’t climbing the fence to help him! Would have climbed the fence 10 years ago but instead filed my report with Anna when I returned to the house and by that time she went down to check on him he had figured out some way to get up. He sure was oinking when he couldn’t get up!

This morning Bennett and I had time to play with the Neigh Neighs, play keep the balloon off the floor and our own version of a dice game! So fun!

Arrived at Paul and Carol’s outside Dow City about 12:30 today. Lovely afternoon enjoying the deck, catching up on our lives. Reconnections are always a joy!

Enjoyed an evening walk to the neighbors down the road sharing 3 zucchini with them and lots of time on the deck enjoying the sight, sounds and conversation!

Every kid likes balloons! Young and old!

After Neigh Neighs were finished with their owners going for a ride, we had to be sure to brush down the Neigh Neighs!

Taking the ranch workers for a ride in the wagons! Then it was time to drive them back to the ranch so they could go back to work!

So peaceful listening to the birds! They are loud!

This cow was so willing to cooperate for a photo op!
