July 17 - Farmers Market Prep Begins

Karol's kind of weather finally! High of 80, low overnight 62! I know it won’t last but plan to enjoy it for now!

Tom had already been working a couple hours when I got up, ground was wet so did a few other chores. For me it was sweeping out 2 garages, then joined Tom to pick some sugar peas (my back was killing me after a very short time of crawling on the ground picking peas! I don’t know how he does it for hours, day after day!)

Then it was time to plow weeds under with a walk behind plow. Tom talked about plowing it under with a tiller he pulls behind the Kubota later this afternoon but he decided it needed to be tended to this morning. I said “it could wait until this afternoon!” Tom responded: “What kind of an attitude is that?!” Well I guess my suggestion was not the right answer!  When he finished with the walk behind plow… ”That makes me happy!!”

Next he picked green onions, then I cleaned and put in bunches of 12, 10 bunches 120 green onions, they are all ready for market!

Tom did radishes and cucumbers before I got up! No sweet corn for market tomorrow …but maybe for supper tonight!!!
